The DIPM Council has been working in multifaceted direction to achieve our ultimate aim.As per
objectives of DIPM Council of India , we are organizing a lecture by a renowned Prof of English literature on 24th Feb 2016. The Council has been innovative and creative in their vision and
mission. Traditions are being broken to deviate from the rut to set our own path.
For a change, it has been decided to hold a lecture on “Shakespeare for Scientists and Engineers”
to mark the Quartercentenary of the William Shakespeare.
The programme is scheduled on 24th Feb 2016. The lecture will be delivered by Prof. B.N.Balajee,
a renowned Professor of English.The programme shall be conducted in two sessions and a Q & A
session with exhibits of the William Shakespeare. The Lecture will be inaugurated by a VIP and the ministerial staff of MoD will be invited.

1. The first session will relate to the need to bridge the gap between science and humanities and
bring in Shakespeare studies that can enhance and enrich the studies of subjects in science and
technologies.
2.The second session will expose the participants to the best of Shakespeares legacy and
contribution to mankind followed by a Q & A section.
The exhibits shall comprise of rare and unique collection of works related to Shakespeare t
hrough posters, photographs and memorabilia.
The programme shall be a festival with a difference especially for Shakespeare lovers. All
members are requested to give wide publicity of above programme and attend the same.
Brochure with detailed programme and Bio data of the speaker will be published separately.
Let us immerse in the power and glory of William Shakespeare and refresh ourselves.
