As you may be aware that Jay Pee Orchard Resident Welfare Society (JPORWS) had filed a suit in NCDRC against JIL and JAL. We had also filed an application in Supreme Court as well. To meet these expenses society members had contributed Rs 30000/- per head and those who joined later and participated only in the Supreme Court proceedings contributed Rs 5000/ each.
Both the cases are now over and no more additional expenses are being incurred. The final individual share of expenses incurred on NCDRC case is Rs. 9826/- & on the Supreme Court litigation it is Rs. 1929/-.
Balance funds are lying with us and have also earned some interest.
JPORWS managing committee has taken the decision to start refunding the leftover funds to the NCDRC & Supreme court case participating members of the association along with the bank interest earned till 31st July 2026.
The society collected annual subscription from members till 31 March 2020. Thereafter a decision was taken to stop collecting the subscription until further notice. Some members had defaulted on these payments and now these amounts are also being recovered from them from their dues.

Please note that the refund will be credited only to the bank account of the member who originally made the contribution to the legal case funds. Kindly share your bank details by 15 September, 2026 to facilitate timely processing of the refunds.
