A message to all members of T20 Fan Voice

Dear T20 Cricket fan,

Welcome to the www.T20.com CricComm (our commentary on T20 Cricket)!

The Road to the Final: With only the final left to be contested, SL have emerged the only undefeated team in the ICC World Twenty20. They have won all their six games, going into Sunday's title clash with Pakistan who lost to England at the start of the competition and then to Sri Lanka at the start of the Super Eight stage.

Yesterday's Match: Sri Lanka qualified for the title clash of the ICC World Twenty20 after they defeated the West Indies by 57 runs in the second semi-final at The Oval here Friday. Tillakaratne Dilshan's 96 not out and three wickets for Angelo Matthews in West Indies' first over fired up Sri Lanka.

Right timing, Shahid Afridi

The words like slam bang cricket and butchery must never be used lightly in Twenty20 cricket, but it can be applied to Shahid Afridi's stroke-making ability. He is yet to earn the right to sit alongside Virender Sehwag and Chris Gayle, or even Brendon McCullum, but he has an almost superb ability to rise to the occasion. That's his genius.

Dilshan is a pioneer of stroke-making in T20s: Sangakkara

Man of the Match T Dilshan said, "Once I got the start, I wanted to keep going until the end." "I'm in good form over the last six months, and I want to keep it going. Just one more to go," he added.

Numbers that mattered: Second semifinal: Sri Lanka vs. West Indies: The number of wickets to fall in first over of the West Indian innings bowled by Angelo Mathews – a feat unparalleled in T20 internationals. The previous record was of two wickets on four occasions.

Community: Lyndsay Carr says, "Indian expectations, otherwise known as 'Tall Poppy Syndrome."
